What is Ihit le Ihitoch Women's Support Group? [የእህት ለእህቶች መረዳጃ ማህበር ማነው?]

At Ihit le Ihitoch* Women’s Support Group, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of Ethiopian and Eritrean women and children living in the UK facing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) by providing empowerment, safety, advice and support. We provide advocacy, confidence and skills building, and awareness raising on VAWG particularly domestic abuse issues.

Our group is non-political and non-religious oriented, purely focusing on improving the lives of habesha women and their families.

(* Ihit le Ihitoch is an Amharic phrase meaning "Sister for Sisters")

እህት ለእህቶች መረዳጃ ማህበር በእንግሊዝ አገር የሚኖሩ በሴቶች ላይ የሚደርስ ጥቃት እየተሰቃዩ ያሉ የኤርትራዊ እና ኢትዮጵያዊ እህቶቻችንና ልጆቻቸውን ለማገዝ የተቋቋመ ነው። መስራቾቹ የእህት ወገኖቻቸውን ህይወት የተሻለ እንዲሆን ቆርጠው የተነሱ ናቸው። በራስ የመተማመንና ሙያ አገዝ ስልጠናዎች፣ የምክር አገልግሎቶችን እንዲሁም ለማህበረሰቡ በሴቶች ላይ የሚደርስ ጥቃትን ለማስወገድ የግንዛቤና እውቅና ስልጠናዎችን እንሰጣለን።

ማህበራችን ከፓለቲካና ሀይማኖት ክፍፍሎች ሙሉ በሙሉ ነፃ ሆኖ ሙሉ በሙሉ የሀበሻ ሴቶችና ልጆቻቸውን ህይወት ማሻሻል ላይ ያተኮረ ነው።
